Los Angeles-based duo Antiwave have only been together for a year but they are making music that is mature beyond their years. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their latest single “Holiday Heart.” The track is reminiscent of bands like Air or Garbage with its mixture of trip hop, synth pop, and shoegaze. Lead singer, Heather Baker, says of the track “is inspired by the overwhelming feeling I think we all encounter that the past was filled with good times or was easier. This leads to the direct or indirect selective remembrance of moments in our lives. Yet we are products of the great pain and pleasure we endure, whether we know it or not.” It’s a heady notion for a song that feels very light and airy.
