San Francisco duo, Beatific are preparing to release their debut, Sunshine EP on December 8th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their new single, “Smile Dangerous.”
With driving drums and layers of synth sounds, the track is reminiscent of bands like Big Data or Phoenix. But there is an amorous undertone to the song. Singer/songwriter, Elad Marish said “this song is about sex, lust, and attraction. If there’s whipped cream and chocolate, and a cherry involved, all the better.” There is all of that and more. Just listen to the bridge that starts around 2:11 mark, a beautiful break from the frenetic energy of the arena-sized chorus.
