Bishop Nehru is preparing to release his new album, Elevators: Act I & II on March 16th. The album’s first single is the MF DOOM-produced jam, “Rooftops.” Like DOOM, Nehru’s stream-of-consciousness style seems to be a faucet that can not be shut off. He raps for nearly two minutes straight over the saxophone-laden beat before delivering a refrain of “so I’m headed for the rooftops” and ending the song. Another verse would have been nice but not necessary. Nehru packs all his power into one verse and bows out before the schtick gets old.
