Richmond quartet, Camp Howard are preparing to release their new album, Cañón on October 18th. The album’s latest single is “Surprise,” a song that straddles the line of indie rock and psychedelic pop. The opening organs sound like something straight off of Caroline Rose’s Loner but the lush, harmony filled chorus is something closer to Apples in Stereo or Polyphonic Spree. Don’t let it surprise you when the second verse is entirely in Spanish courtesy of singer Nic Perea who is Mexican.
