Miami’s Cannibal Kids are preparing to release their new album, deadheads on February 21st. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the third single from the album, “Voicemail.”
The band says the song “will give you that feel good vibe with its steady drums and uplifting groove, while also playing to your emotions with it’s sad, relatable undertones.” Those undertones are the lyrics which are about listen to old voicemails from a former love interest. The melancholic lyrics juxtapose nicely with the track’s yacht rock vibe reminiscent of Hall & Oates or Elton John.
