Is it weird to say that I haven’t heard the original track of this song? I probably am part of a small number of people but I will say after hearing this remix I was intrigued to hear the original. Hearing this remix was all I really needed though. Presenting Gill Chang‘s remix of “Closer” by The Chainsmokers. I like the marching band cadence style drums in the intro as well. My favorite thing about this track has to be the slow swelling chords in the drop. I think using this method gives that extra down tempo feeling which plays well with the emotion of the track. The vocal melody on top of the chords is simply out of this world. Gill Chang, who’s been apart of many great works has done it again.
