Bedroom pop singer, Dad just released her new single, “Fresher.” Billed as a 2De-girl and only visually represented by a cartoon, the gimmick would leave you to believe Dad is worse than she actually is. “Fresher” is the type of bedroom pop that many a millennial can relate to. Right from the off set Dad breaks you off with “I can’t pay my bills/I guess I spent all my money on pills/from my therapist/daddy issues are expensive.” That comes before the chorus of “I’m broke as fuck but I’m still better off than all my exes,” which is more of an aspiration than an actuality for me but Dad makes me believe its possible.
