Ben Talmi helmed project, Dreamaway just released their sophomore single, “American Illusion.” The song has a serious New Pornographers-vibe with Talmi playing the part of A.C. Newman while Margaret Sohn and Kate Steinberg fill in for Kathryn Calder and Neko Case. Their tight vocal harmonies on the song’s sugar sweet pop chorus is enough to distract you from the lyrics about the evaporating American dream.
