Freddie Gibbs put on one of our favorite performances at this year’s Governors Ball. The Indiana-based rapper is preparing to release his debut studio album, ESGN. The album’s latest leak is “Lay It Down.” As Freddie said at Governors Ball, he is “one of the few still doing that real gangsta rap.” I don’t know if he is one of few but I do know he is indeed doing real gangsta rap.
