In the intro to “Early,” Freeway makes it abundantly clear that you are listening to something special. He asks “y’all understand what’s going down? This is Freeway and Just Blaze. Its been years since y’all heard us cook up a record together.” Despite the time off for the collaborators, “Early” takes us right back to Freeway’s 2003 debut Philadelphia Freeway.
