Edinburgh-based singer/songwriter, Grant Kilpatrick is preparing to release his debut EP in May. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the new single from the album, “Out My Mind.”
“I’m often confused about what to believe nowadays,” admits Kilpatrick. “Whether that’s fake news, social media or the latest fad diet. ‘Out My Mind touches on that information overload that we’re all feeling right now.”
The anxiety ridden tone of the lyrics are complimented by driving drums and a wall-of-guitar that sound like Mutt Lange is producing it. Cutting through the raucous sound is Kilpatrick’s soaring vocals, reminiscent of Noel Gallagher. It’s a beautiful song with a message we can all relate to in this moment.
