Over the last 20 years, Herbert has pushed the limits of dance music and his new track is no exception. “Strong” is his first new music in nearly a decade but Herbert clearly hasn’t lost his edge. The eccentric drums have a manic energy reminiscent of Janelle Monae‘s “Dance Apocalyptic” but Herbert’s smooth vocals never lets it explod–instead containing it, building anticipation.
