Ian McFarland “When We First Met”

Ian McFarland does it all within the music industry including songwriting, label work, marketing tagging for sync, and writing for blogs. His latest single “When We First Met,” which was recorded in Nashville while McFarland was traveling between Los Angeles and NYC. Despite spending most of his time on either coast, the single has a heartland influence. It’s catchy pop but played through palm muted guitar and piano arpeggios. It sounds like Owl City ditching his synth and covering the War on Drugs.
