Of the two Japan portmanteau bands, Japanther is definitely the red headed step child. While Japandroid‘s racked up the accolades last year, Japanther lay dormant. That changes in 2013 as Japanther prepares to release Eat Like Lisa Act Like Bart. The album’s lead single is the lo-fi, pop-punk jaunt “Stolen Flowers.”
