Despite it being two years since we posted a new track from Julian Lamadrid, he is still only 21 years old. His new single “Die Young” gives a nod to both krautrock and electro-clash. The vocals start off as cold and vocoded but as the song wares on, they become more aggressive and almost visceral. By the time the song comes back down to sounding its sparsest, “Die Young” feels like the full catharsis you didn’t even know you needed.
