Tulsa-born, New York City-based singer/songwriter, JW Francis just released his new single, “Is That The One.” With a warm AM radio vibe, the shuffling guitar line is reminiscent of The Velvet Underground‘s “Rock & Roll” but the distortion on Francis’ vocals give them a Strokes‘ vibe. With the repeating lyrics of “I love you more than I thought” might make you think this is a love song, Francis admits “I wrote this song about my grandma.”
