Hailed by Pitchfork as one of the 50 Best Albums of 2013, Kurt Vile’s “Wakin on a Pretty Daze” (#13 on their list) has since been atop the many “best of” and “staff picks” lists. Kurt Vile and the Violators will be taking the stage at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT on Monday June 2nd so if you don’t believe the hype then here’s your chance to decide for yourself. If like me you are already a fan then this is of course a must see event. Not only will Kurt Vile be headlining but NYC guitarist Steve Gunn and Western Mass psych-outfit zzones will be opening the evening. Surviving the Golden Age will be there and you should be too.
