Matt Pond released his last record without the PA attached to his name. His new album The State Of Gold sees him reclaim the PA. The album will be released June 30 on the newly relaunched Doghouse Records. The album’s lead single is “Take Me With You.” With a strong drum beat and shimmering synths, the track has an almost 80s feel to it. There is the classic Matt Pond melancholic element to “Take Me With You” but when the chorus hits and he sings “it’s good to be home,” its pure elation.
