Long running Seattle grunge band, Mudhoney are preparing to release Morning in America, a seven song EP that was recorded during the sessions for 2018 album, Digital Garbage. The first single from the EP is “One Bad Actor.” Over a fuzzed out guitar riff, Mark Arm rants sometimes coherently, sometimes not. The first verse would have you believe that the song is political in nature but then later lines like “Shakespeare is a square/Shakespeare is dead just like his stupid language” makes you question that assumption.
