21-year-old Swedish singer, Erik Hassle is being imported to the United States. His debut album Pieces hits the UK in late February, but is coming to the US on Universal Republic in the spring. The album’s first single “Hurtful” has already gotten some acclaim in Europe. The track is a pretty standard arena rock ballad similar to songs by Stars of Track and Field. The remix is a horse of a different color. Penguin Prison takes it up a notch giving it a retro-80s dance feel mixed with a little Daft Punk. Check it out and enjoy.
