I only hear from Ian McGlynn once a year. Its always right around Christmas when he releases his annual Christmas song. This year he has sent me “The Snow Angel and the Icicle Sword”. The story is a bit tragic. It is a song about the protection of loved ones; it was inspired by the relentless health issues facing Ian’s songwriting partner’s baby niece, Jaquelynn.
