A lot of mashup artists seem to be pretty content to just make the same mashup over and over. It gets really tiring to listen to the same pop vocals over dubstep or electro beats. While TeeTs has occasionally been guilty of formulaic mashups, I have to hand it to him for taking a chance on “Take Control Tonight.” He is using a couple pretty popular pop acapellas but put in the slow jam format gives them a completely different feel that I can appreciate.
