The Decemberists‘ Colin Meloy tweeted some news today. The Decemberists’ new album will be called The King is Dead and it will be released January 18th, 2011. More importantly, he tweeted the album’s first single “Down By the Water”. If the first single is any indication, The King is Dead should be more classic Decemberists and much less prog rock than their last album. Enjoy!
