It seems fitting for Nightmare Fortress, a band from Seattle to sing “no sunshine, no heaven” in their new single “No Exit.” For all the gloomy days suffered through, the band seems to reflect it with their darkwave sound. “No Exit” plays like a hopeless anthem; it sounds as if the last song Ian Curtis wrote was being brought to life by Siouxsie & the Banshees. With the song, Nightmare Fortress create a synth-laden track that you could dance to as easily as you could cry.
