French quartet, Phoenix have been sparse since the release of 2013’s Bankrupt! But with an upcoming world tour, the band announced a new album called Ti Amo set for release on June 9th. In addition to the announcement, they dropped the album’s lead single “J-Boy.” The midtempo synth-pop track has Phoenix sounding more skeptical of humanity with talk of stealing “money from a homeless girl” and “kamikazes in a hopeless world.” Ultimately, the shimmering synths and arena-sized chorus betray any dour sentiments. “J-Boy” is another hit for Phoenix.
