Canadian hiphop/electronic producer duo, Potatohead People teamed up with Vancouver based vocalist Bunnie for their latest single, “Single Life.” Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the track’s music video.
The track is an homage to the vibe and sound of mid-90s r&b a la Brandy, Next, and Aaliyah. The video, directed by Nancy Lee, follows suit. Seeing Bunnie singing on her bed can’t help but evoke memories of Brandy’s 1995 video for “Sittin’ Up In My Room.” The video is a bit tongue-in-cheek with Bunnie standing at a kitchen counter with a juicer and eggplants singing but if you can embrace the parody, “Single Life” really is a jam.
