Ready Astronaut, the Kansas City future-folk project of The Slowdown’s Josh Johnson, will be releasing his self-titled debut album on November 4th. Surviving the Golden Age is proud to premiere the album’s latest single, “Lost in Space.” Based around plucked banjo and Johnson’s warbly voice, “Lost in Space” is clearly rooted in folk tradition but with its eye to the future. By adding synth bass and singing about space, this is not your grandpa’s folk music but it just might be your folk music.
