Is there a more unlikely duo than Joe Pernice of Scud Mountain Boys fame and Budo mostly know for producing much of Macklemore‘s 2005 album, The Language of My World? Probably not but the two got together to form Roger Lion. Their debut single is “A Dead Man’s Song.” Budo’s experimental production fits nicely with Pernice’s emotive storytelling. The track is just the first taste of Roger Lion’s upcoming debut album to be released September 18th.
