Bruno Saltor Grau, known simply as Bruno, was the right back and captain for Brighton & Hove Albion until his recent retirement. San Francisco-based producer, ruairi dx decided to name his new single after him (honestly, it is ACTUALLY named after Bruno). Featuring echoed synth pad stabs over crunchy lo-fi house beat, the track is ethereal sounding but dark. The last minute of the track completely flips the narrative with a hip hop-inspired beat replacing the shuffling house beat and shimmering synths taking the song its surprising closure. “Bruno” is a beautifully composed song with an unexpected and innovative ending.
