Los Angeles singer, Smoothie just dropped his new single, “But It Ain’t You.” With a four-on-the-floor beat, a thumping bass line, and synths, the track sounds like an early 80s funk/disco crossover. Smoothie’s voice has a Barry Gibb quality to it with his ability to hit the high notes when necessary. It makes for a fun retro jam without sounding passe.
