Atlanta’s Suntrodden are preparing to release their new Suntrodden I EP on February 5. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the EPs lead single, “It’s Never Over.” The minimalist pop song at first might sound like an unfinished demo still awaiting drums and a fuller arrangement. Reading deeper into the history of the song, it was written as a gentle lullaby for Erik Stephansson’s infant son. While Stephansson’s vocals may lull you to sleep, the lyrics are a bit darker than then the music lets on.
