Erik Stephansson indie-pop songwriting vehicle, Suntrodden will release their second EP, Suntrodden II on October 28th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the EP.
Opening with “Wake Up,” the EP is noticeable sunnier than Suntrodden I. Described as a “love letter to stripped down songwriting,” the song opens with acoustic guitar and vocals before slowly it opens up to a fuller arrangement with shimmering organs and warm analog synths. With his soothing vocals and surrealist lyrics, the songs are almost like California pop lullabies–hazy and serene.
