On accusations of plagiarism

Surviving the Golden Age takes plagiarism very seriously. At time of publication, the editors of this blog had no reason to suspect the review was not comprised of completely original content. It has since been pointed out that much of the phrasing in the review seems to be direct lifted from another online source. Because of this Surviving the Golden Age has decided to pull the review from publication and there will be an internal review of the writer in question.

As a music website that has been continuously published over the last 11 years, Surviving the Golden Age strives to bring its readers original content from some of the newest and brightest minds in music criticism. Plagiarism has no place on our site or any other. We look forward to continuing to serve you great music criticism content for years to come.

Best,

A strong response, and the right response. Well done.
And to the bonehead writer making life harder for the rest of us, give it up. Even the slightest bit of research would have told you that Talib Kweli – a man known for integrity and meticulousness – would be the absolute worst person to pull that shit on.
