New York City band, 2/3 Goat are preparing to self-release their new album, Let It Rise on April 15th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the album’s new single “Whiskey Sins.” beginning off like a dark industrial blues hybrid, the song quickly breaks into raucous country fun complete with some fancy fiddles and slide guitar. But it is Annalyse McCoy, a direct descendent from the infamous McCoys of Eastern Kentucky, who anchors the track with her soaring vocals that recall legends of country like Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.
