Holy collaborations going on here. First of all, the original with A-Trak and Phantogram is pretty amazing and left me with goosebumps. Then comes in the remixes, BLU J specifically, brought the groove in with a quality deep house rendition of the track. Something I haven’t heard too much in this genre is the vocal chopping in the drop of the track which was a really cool touch. The second drop adds in another layer to the sound design as a more “airy” synth sits on top of the rest of the track. With a track containing so many different elements, it’s really tough to make things flow without sounding cramped or squished. Props to BLU J on this cool remix.
