Opening up the night was The Dangerous Summer, a rock band from Maryland. They brought an energetic set that was quintessentially pop-rock and had the crowd dancing along with them from the beginning. Copeland, another Florida local, was next and offered their album In Motion in its entirety, their set giving fans a chance to reminisce on their 2005 emo days.

Fans were treated to Anberlin’s Never Take Friendship Personal. Celebrating twenty years of the album, Anberlin played to a packed Jannus Live. Smoke filled the stage and the air as lights flashed onto the stage, a green hue illuminated it as members one by one took the stage. Fans met them with an uproar of applause and screams, as the band broke into the title track of the very album they were celebrating. Even with a new front-man in, Matty Mullins, the band moved, danced, and jumped in sync. The surprise of the night was Anberlin’s original front-man, Stephen Christian joining the band on stage to perform “The Unwinding Cable Car.” It is so amazing to see albums that stand the test of time be celebrated and continue to have a strong fan base that resonates decades later!
