Israeli saxophonist, Arnan Raz just released his new album, 7 Days. The titular track is a gorgeous mixture of hardbop instrumental and Afro-Cuban percussion. The band includes saxophonist, trumpeter, bassist, and two percussionists; Raz said the construction was “intentionally leaving out the harmonic instruments, giving more independence to the melodic lines.” Those are in full effect on “7 Days” along with Raz’s sophisticated improvisation.
