Jersey City’s Beninghove’s Hangmen are preparing to release an all Led Zeppelin covers cassette via Very Special Recordings on December 2nd. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere “Immigrant Song.” With Robert Plant’s iconic vocal line being replicated by blazing saxophones, “Immigrant Song” ends up sounding like something played at the closing credits at a spy movie. Although it gets a bit free jazzy at the three minute mark, the track as a whole is a driving instrumental that’s hard to ignore.
