Portland based country/folk band, Blitzen Trapper are preparing to release their seventh studio album, VII. The album’s lead single is “Shine On,” a track that clearly has its roots in country but incorporates other influences. The track’s strong drumline has an almost 80s hip hop feel to it and the backing vocals sound like a gospel choir.
