Toronto-based rapper, Cadence Weapon is preparing to release a new LP called Parallel World on April 30th. The latest single from the album is “Senna.” The track is interesting because its a North American attempt at classic grime. While Cadence Weapon doesn’t get as in your face as early Dizzee Rascal or Skepta, he does nail the rhythm and meter. It makes for a nice blending of styles, taking the UK artform and not aping it, but making it his own.
