Back in October, Cashavelly released her latest album, Meditation through Gunfire. The latest single from the album is “Ancestors.” The instrumental is soft and meditative so as to not overpower Cashavelly lyrics. She explains “this song is about my grandmother and Mary Magdalene, my ancestors who are always with me, guiding me. With all the abuse and violation I’ve endured, that every woman on some level endures, no one can take them from me. I truly do believe now that our ancestors are with us, helping us.”
