NYC-based songwriter Chris Blacker is gearing up to release his new LP, The Endless Chase. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere his new single “Don’t Let Me Leave You.” A classically trained pianist, Blacker creates a ballad reminiscent of Matt Pond with his earnest lyrics and emotive delivery. With lyrics Blacker describes as being “about falling in love while grappling with the difficulties of getting ahead in the world,” orchestral flourishes are used to deepen the track’s mood. “Don’t Let Me Leave You” is the type of song you would hear in the crescendo of big apple-based romance.
