Premiere: Civil Rebellion “Meet The Reaper”

Seattle’s Civil Rebellion are preparing to release their EP, All at Once later this fall. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the EP’s third single, “Meet The Reaper.”

Beginning with an acoustic guitar intro before breaking out into a full band assault, the track has elements of late 90s alternative and pop punk with tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Lead singer/songwriter, Noah Wossene explains “When I wrote this song, I was fully engulfed in the bullshit that is the media today. How everything is so accessible to everyone and ANYONE making it so easy to make whatever claims you’d like about an individual, business etc.” He continues “The idea sprung to me. Who’s misconstrued the most? The Reaper! Most to all of us think that the reaper is the one to come kill and take our souls. The ‘all evil entity’ but that’s not the truth. The reaper is merely there to take said persons soul and pass it to the afterlife. A mailman as I like to correlate. Just a guy there to pick up and deliver a package. That’s it.”
