Releases on Berlin, Germany’s Electro Swing Thing imprint general follow a standard formula: four-on-the-floor beat between 130-210 BPM with plenty of brass samples and old timey vocals. Daisy La Fontaine‘s new single, “I’m Your Rose,” really breaks the mold. There is still plenty of brass but the tempo is significantly slower. La Fontaine’s vocals are sultry and dynamic. It feels more like an R&B song that electro swing.
