When I think power trios, I think Cream, Dinosaur Jr., Motörhead or Nirvana. All of those bands seem to have some influence over Chicago trio, Dead Lucid. Their new single, “Head” features fuzzed out bass, skuzzy guitars and driving drums. Vocalist, Jon Grammer’s baritone yowl is reminiscent of Iggy Pop but alas, the Stooges were a quartet.
