After recording and touring with countless venerable acts over the last decade (Thursday, Colour Revolt, Unwed Sailor and Bear Colony to name a few), Brooks Tipton has emerged from behind the keys to take the forefront in his solo project Glass Wands. Unlike those bands, Brooks’ solo material explores the world of neo-classical. Glass Wands’ album will be out on March 25th, but Surviving the Golden Age is pleased to premiere the first track off the record, “Silverleaf.” Reminiscent of when John Cale first started experimenting with classical, the track is subdued instrumental mood music where Brooks’ piano is accompanied by light strings.
