Los Angeles post-rock band GUIDES are releasing a new five song EP entitled Abstract Mind tomorrow. Surviving the Golden Age is pleased to premiere the music video for the album’s single “Pictures on Pictures.” Reminiscent of classic college rock like Mission of Burma or Jawbreaker, the video has certain late 80s/early 90s aesthetic with a filter put on the camera to make it look like band members are being filmed underwater. To be literal to the song title, there are also plenty of cross dissolves that allow for pictures to actually be put on pictures. Fortunately that is the most literal part of the entire video which is a fitting visualization of the moody alternative rock anthem.
