I think every guy understands this scenario. Highschool Jacob sits in his bedroom analyzing (agonizing?) whether or not he’s been a sufficient lover – “wonderin’ about the standard of his lovin’.” HSJ has a fascinating and quirky voice and style, both of which add to the overall compelling nature of this song and video. He almost reminds me of a modern day Joe Jackson. His production is meticulous, and when the drums drop for the chorus you’re right there with him, relating to every one of his spiraling thoughts. Never heard anything else from HSJ, but he’s on my radar now. An intriguing debut from a very promising artist.
