Tupelo, MS-based Hunter Myers recently released his single, “Another Day.” The song is among the first hip-hop tracks he’s unveiled and its a good one. A laid-back turntablist beat reminiscent of J Dilla sets the backdrop for Myers storytelling lyrics. For being more of a guitar and singing guy, Myers’ technical skills are surprisingly sharp as he changes cadences and even rapid fires off some lines. While “Another Day” might be one of the first of his hip hop singles hopefully it won’t be his last.
