While fans around the world have been patiently waiting for Avalanches to release a follow up to Since I Left You for over a decade now, their recent activity has made a new record seem more and more realistic. The band recently signed up for a soundcloud account and dropped a new track. The track finds Avalanches taking on pioneering Australian band Hunters & Collectors‘s first hit, “Talking to a Stranger.” The remix turns the post-rock track into a disco dance party complete with horns and some funky looped instruments. The song will be included on the new album, Crucible – The Songs of Hunters & Collectors.
